Domestic Bliss. 2016

Exploring the idea of nostalgia and domesticity, being a newlywed myself, the ideas of settling down and domestic bliss have been on my mind. I am wanting to create a home, no longer a share house, I want to bake the recipes of my grandparents and love scouring op shops and vintage markets for objects that remind me of a time where It all seemed so simple. Taking the time to bake is now a hard thing spending more time on Pinterest looking at recipes and coveting images of food rather than cooking it.

This exhibition is an extension of my everyday activities scouring op shops setting up a blissful home and sharing these nostalgic objects of affection with the audience.
